I find the Y300 only a smidge less responsive as my S3 which has 2MB of memory. The only things I have done is change to the Nova launcher and trimmed the bloatware. You need to solve your software issues before going to a faster mobile. I don't do much with this phone other than sms, checking emails, and phone calls. The phone constantly runs over 80% in memory so it is kind of frustrating these days. I cannot even check facebook in the fear it will bog the memory down.
The device has since been very sluggish and running slow with any program that I run on the phone, evening trying to check an email or send a sms. This phone thus far has been worked ok however I wanted to see if the issues I am having is common with others.
